21/22 Harvest
Wow what a season! The season started off in early December, our site now had a full functioning weighbridge/ sample stand making tearing in and off so much easier and swifter. We also had decided to accept Malt barley and Beans, a new but exciting challenge for our team. Truck after Truck our team work tirelessly to make sure each visit ran smoothly. Our silos quickly filled, and our bunkers were well on there way to becoming full. We worked all the way up till Christmas Eve, and then straight back into the swing of things come boxing day. We had to extend our Wheat bunker, to make more room to accompany our farmers, and our bean bunker filled quite quickly. A couple of hot days stopped our harvest run but after many early mornings and late nights we were able to fill our site a couple days into the new year. Thank you to our buyer, Team and most importantly our dedicated Farmers thank you for all you're support!! See you next harvest folks.
Leading up to Harvest
This years harvest will be a little different, having made some changes in the off season. This year we have implemented a new weighbridge/ sample stand located above the weighbridge, allowing the experience to be more swift. We have also built 2 new steel wall bunkers located up the back, ready for use. LBS is now open for receivals and samples. Our team is looking forward to the upcoming season and can't wait to see everyone!!
March through to June
January & Febuary Report
Our Team has been working tirelessly, trying to get the remainder of grain carted and shipped off. Our major outloads being in the month of March and April which saw our 2 Barley bunkers become empty, Wheat bunker down to its last thousand tonne and our Canola silos starting to empty. May, and June made sure that our remaining bunker and Canola silos were empty. With now our site only holding a couple hundred tonnes of Barley and Wheat which will soon be carted down to the port leaving our site empty and ready for the upcoming season. Big Thanks goes out to our team for there amazing effort and to all the drivers who helped shifted the grain, you're contribution dosen't go unoticed.
We looking forward to seeing you in the upcoming season!
After a short break to welcome in the new year, our team got back to work as the first outloading of barley was underway, and being taken down to Portland. After a short week of outloading, bunker 3 was down to its last thousand tonne. The team spent the next couple of weeks cleaning and making sure we were ready for our next lot of outloading which was to take place in early Febuary.
As Febuary rolled around, our team once again got ready to outload 7 thousand tonne of wheat from our site and get it transported down to the boats in Portland. After 2 long weeks, truck after truck we had finally shifted the 7 thousand tonne. Big thanks to all of the truck drivers for their patience and dedication as we tried to wrap our heads around the process.
We are now looking ahead to our next outload in mid march!
